Located in Silicon Valley, MediaTek USA is looking for Computer Science and Computer Engineering talent. Interested in AI algorithms and architectures, deep learning and the hardware accelerators that are going to make it happen? This Summer 2020 internship will provide hands-on learning and a unique opportunity to contribute to AI systems in mobile chipsets. This is a position within MediaTek's AI Computer Architecture Lab. In this role you will be working with MediaTek's architects to learn about our unique AI architecture and perform research studies for the next-generation AI architecture. These include but not limited to: • Study a number of our target AI and computer vision workloads, and perform architectural simulation for performance and power tradeoffs • Design scalable hardware solutions for large deep-learning applications • Program new AI algorithms by utilizing our industry-proven software stack for the smartphones • Develop new compiler IRs for the next-generation AI accelerators No student is expected to have experience with all of these, but we are looking for someone with a strong desire to learn new knowledge. Salary range: $37/hr - $55/hr Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications.
