Job Description
The successful Senior HR Manager, Finland will have a solid background in providing generalist HR management across a range of areas, including performance management, compensation and benefits, learning and development and recruitment. In addition to this, you will have proven experience with dealing with day to day HR-related issues, acting as an HR business partner and a trusted advisor to local managers.

An excellent communicator, with the ability to develop effective working relationships with colleagues and vendors around the world, you will be very comfortable with handling multiple time zones and will have an excellent understanding of the complexities involved with working with global colleagues (in particular across Europe and Taiwan/Asia). Key Responsibilities
• Acting as HR Business Partner and coach to the Engineering and Site Director and local management, including being a part of the leadership team in Oulu
• Line managing and mentoring the local HR and administrative team
• Delivering HR initiatives which attract talent and drive employee engagement and retention
• Ownership of and involvement in European and wider global HR projects as required.
• Together with the HR Administrator, providing an excellent operational HR service, including providing support and advice to employees, managing starters, leavers, work permits, labour negotiations, co-operation meetings, contracts of employment, expatriates and contractors
Required Skills & Experience
• Solid professional HR management experience. Experience within the hi-tech industry would be an advantage.
• Superb communication skills, both in English and Finnish, honed in HR business partnering/advisory roles: ability to coach and influence managers effectively
• Proven track record of adding value as both an individual contributor and an active team member
• Experience of dealing with employees across all seniority levels, with the ability to handle potentially challenging situations confidently and effectively
• Sound working knowledge and understanding of Finnish employment law
• Strong understanding of HR systems, tools, policies and practices
• Successful experience of working globally, with remote and/or virtual teams
